Jim Pflaum Brief Career Profile
Jim has a strong background in new business development and marketing management, and has written copy for a variety of different marketing tools, including brochures, ads,
technical manuals and Web sites.
After a successful six-year airport management career, at which time he rose to be the US’s youngest major airport executive, Jim entered the business sector and joined
Electrolert, Inc., a consumer electronics company. First as the Company’s chief marketing executive, and later as its president and CEO, he and his staff grew Electrolert’s annual sales from
$700,000 to over $40,000,000 in only three years.
Jim has also formed, developed and managed three other new business ventures; a satellite communications company named Micro-Link Systems, Inc., an information technology service
firm called Dimensional Marketing, Inc., and Admark Media, LLC, an Internet website publishing company. After selling his ownership interest in Dimensional Marketing, and prior to forming Admark Media,
Jim also worked as a business turnaround consultant specializing in financially troubled information technology companies.
Jim now works as a new business development consultant and as a free-lance copywriter, and provides his services to many of Sandpiper Design’s clients. Jim holds a BS degree
in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle University.
